The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission State Service Exam comprises of 2 papers
Prelims exam consists of two papers and the question type is objective.

The prelims exam serve as a screening test only. Candidates who are qualifying in the prelims exam will be called to attend the mains exam. Final selection list will be made only on the basis of the marks obtained in the mains exam and interview. Each question papers will contain 100 questions of 2 marks each and the exam duration is 2 hours. Each question paper will be in hindi and english.

MPPSC Mains GS-I
History part will include topics like World History, Indian History, Medieval Indian History, Modern Indian History with special focus on British Invasion, Indian Freedom Struggle and Post-Independence Struggle
Culture part will include topics like Indian Culture and Heritage with special reference to Madhya Pradesh
Geography part will focus on Indian Geography (Both Physical and Human), Soil, and Food Processing Industries
Disaster Management is an important topic too. Focus on areas like Man-Made Disasters, Community Planning and Case Studies
MPPSC Mains GS-II
The Constitution part will include topics like Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policies (DPSPs), Centre and State Legislatures, Judiciary, Panchayati Raj
For Social Legislation, focus more on current bills passed by the state and the central cabinet and the ones in a debate
Under Social Sector segment, topics like Health Services, Technological Interventions in the field of family health fetch marks
An aspirant should read about Education Systems with special focus on current updates on Elementary Education and issues related to girl education
A simple reading of topics like HRD, International Organisations will suffice
MPPSC Mains GS-III
Generalized Science and Technology issues too should be read by aspirants
Topics like Energy, Environment, Sustainable Development, and the Indian Economy can be better understood by referring to basic NCERTs.

The Selection Procedures will consists of the following Stages

Step 2: On the homepage, you can find the Syllabus download link.
Step 3: Click on the State Service Exam Syllabus link.
Step 4: Your Syllabus will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Click the Download button to get your Syllabus.
The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has invited the applications for Various posts on www.mppsc.nic.in. Huge number of candidates had applied for the posts.
Consequent on the reorganization of States on 1st November 1956, eight districts of Madhya Pradesh have been transferred to the Bombay State and the remaining fourteen districts of the Madhya Pradesh along with Madhya Bharat, Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh were merged to form the new Madhya Pradesh. As there was no Public Service Commission for the States of Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh, these being Part "C" States, and the recruitment for these States was being done by the Union Public Service Commission, the records of cases dealt with by the Union Public Service Commission for these two States were not available to the new Commission.
